Coughlin, Janet Piano
Crockett-Tisdon, Nancy Keyboard, Computers, Study Skills
My teacher certification is in Secondary Education, specifically, Business Education with a minor in Library Science. I am also certified to teach Computer Literacy. I love typing and I love teaching students how to type. What I tell all of my students is to: "PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE." You become a better typist, the more you practice. Keyboarding is a lifetime skill; just like learning how to ride a bicycle, once you've learned, you will never forget." I have very high expectations for the students who attend any of my classes and insist that they be respectful and courteous (not only to each other, but to the substitute and others as well) at all times. I expect all of my students to make a grade of "A" no lower than a "B". This can be achieved through effort, listening and following through with all directions given. Also, being focused and concentrating on the task-at-hand.
Mission For The Class: Students: Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to learn how to TYPE BY TOUCH, not by sight. Beginning Typists: You WILL learn how to type making the CORRECT finger-to- key reaches from the homerow position to the adjacent keys. If you practice using this skill--as you have been taught--you should have no problems typing or keying in data. Intermediate/Advanced Typists: You WILL be enhancing your skills. If you did not use your skill properly, the first time, you will be expected to do so now. To all students, YOU WILL BE EXPECTED TO CORRECT YOUR ERRORS as you type. This should enhance your chances of producing error-free work and making ALL POINTS POSSIBLE on all assigned lessons.

Hert, Linda Computer
Fortunately, I have taught children of all ages. My earliest teaching experiences started in Europe, working for the United States Department of Defense as a Secondary School teacher in Mannheim, Germany. While in Germany, I frequently traveled and received extensive knowledge about countries that I visited. Those experiences will always be cherished.
Later, I returned to the United States and continued working as an Elementary and High School teacher in Caddo Parish. Throughout my years of teaching, I have always focused on high expectations for all of my students. I can assure you that students will receive the greatest benefit from varied academic experiences in my class.
My love and genuine concern for children afforded me the opportunity to teach here at Caddo Middle Magnet. This has truly been some of the most exciting times in my career. My love and devotion to my job is what I am most proud of. I love my students and they know it!!

Sitton, Erin Art
"Creativity Takes Courage." -Henri Matisse...Art is fun! But one of the most challenging things about making art is having the courage to create something that comes from your heart. Just dive right in without fear, and you will be amazed by what you can do. One of the many wonderful things about art is that mistakes are not failures…they are OPPORTUNITIES to learn something and to turn a WHOOPS into a WOW! Problem-solving, creative thinking, design skills, drawing skills, art appreciation, self-confidence and self-expression…these are just some of the many benefits of learning about art. I am looking forward to seeing what the Stallion artists create!
