The CMM Pegasus Society invites you to become a member and join our efforts to support Caddo Middle Magnet’s quest for academic excellence. Caddo Middle Magnet School continues to be a highly successful school, yet many pertinent needs remain unaddressed by public funds. As Caddo Middle Magnet parents, we are thrilled with the quality of the education offered to our children at this extraordinary school. Caddo Middle Magnet is blessed to have wonderful, committed teachers, administrators, and support staff. Quality education, however, costs money. And while the funds provided by the local school district cover basic expenses, they fall far short of providing all that is needed to maintain and improve our programs.
In response to these needs, concerned parents founded the Caddo Middle Magnet Foundation, Inc. (The Pegasus Society, Inc.) in 2002 as a 501-c-3 foundation, wholly independent of the school. The Pegasus Society serves as a fund-raising organization dedicated to providing the “extras” that are actually necessities at Caddo Middle Magnet, including computers and other technology as well as the wealth of materials for each classroom in our school. (Look for stickers denoting materials and equipment purchased with Pegasus Society funds the next time you visit your child’s classroom.) In the years since its founding, The Pegasus Society has raised over $300,000, which has been used to directly enrich the educational experiences of our children.
Here are some of the items the Pegasus Society has been able to provide:
Interactive Smartboards, ELMOs, and accessories Science Equipment
Mobile Laptop Centers Lighting and Sound Upgrade to PAC
Desktop Computers Closed Circuit TV System and Tricaster Video
Math Calculators System (allows web streaming of CMM events)
High Tech Security System iPADS for Classrooms
There are two ways to contribute. As a Voting-Level Donor, the contribution levels available are Bronze - $150, Silver - $250, Gold - $500, and Platinum - $1,000+. Each Voting-Level Donor is an equal member of the Society and participates in selecting the projects which will be purchased and implemented this school year. Families are also encouraged to give as a non-voting donor. Any amount is welcomed! Teachers have already begun identifying new technological and instructional materials needed for the students for this school year.
We ask that you sincerely consider becoming a member of The Pegasus Society if you have not done so previously, or renew your membership if you have contributed in the past. We have established a November 1st deadline for your tax-deductible contribution to benefit this school year. Your contribution truly matters. Should you have any questions, please contact any board member. Thank you for all that you do to enhance our school.
Sincerely,
The Pegasus Board Members
