Fox, Jonathan American History 7th
The 2012-2013 school year marks my first to teach at Caddo Middle Magnet; however, I've been a Stallion for more than 20 years! I attended CMM as a student from 1990 to 1993, and now I am a part of the faculty. I have taught World History, American History, and/or Louisiana History in Caddo Parish for the past eight years. Prior to coming to CMM I had the pleasure of teaching at Youree Drive.
I graduated LSU-S in 2003 with a B.A. in Secondary Social Studies Education. I am currently finishing work on my Master's of Liberal Arts also at LSU-S. I love American history, geography, civics, and anything old. It is my goal to pass along some of this enthusiasm to my students. I'm looking forward to a successful school year!

My name is Nellie Lyons and I'm thrilled to be part of the 6th Grade Gateway Team at CMM! Go Stallions! This is my 4th year of teaching as both an art and social studies teacher. This year I celebrate 8 years of marriage to Havard Lyons. My step-son Stafford is at UT Austin (Go Longhorns!) and my near and dear nephew Anthony is in the exciting process of plotting his college plans in Los Angeles, California (my hometown). Navigating the world of education and all its possibilities with these two wonderful boys has been an incredibly rewarding journey. I hope to play a significant role in your child's educational journey, as well.

I began teaching in the spring of 2007. I taught English at Byrd High School for three and a half years. I came to CMM in the fall of 2010. I am a 7th Grade American History teacher and I also teach an elective, Travel USA. An interesting fact, I’ve never taught at a school that I didn’t actually attend! I graduated from LSU-Baton Rouge in 200O with a BA in General Studies with minors in French, Speech Communication and English. I graduated from LSU-Shreveport in 2007 with a BS is Secondary Education with minors in English and History. I am married to a wonderful man and we have two beautiful little girls. Murchison, Nancy American History 7th Gateway and LA History 8th Gateway
I am originally from New Orleans and have been living in Shreveport since 2004 (a year before Katrina). I moved here because I wanted to find a better school system for my son, Chandler, and I was tired of all those hurricanes and all those evacuations!! I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA with a Master’s in Education (1976), and from Tulane University in New Orleans, LA with a Master’s in Social Work (1991). I love working with Gateway students because they are so much fun. I enjoy “teaching with movies and music”, because my students seem to remember the lessons better. I have been teaching at CMM since 2005 and I love CMM!!

This past summer, she was accepted among twenty teachers in the nation to attend a workshop in Washington DC about the founding fathers. Walker, James LA History 8th and Multi Cultural History 8th
I teach Louisiana History and Multi-Cultural Studies at CMM. I grew up in the New Orleans area, graduating from Alfred Bonnabel High in Metairie (a long time ago). I came to Shreveport as a member of the U. S. Air Force in 1978. I am married to a great lady from northern New York, have a boy and a girl, who each have a boy and a girl. I retired from the Shreveport Police Department in 2006, after 23 years of service. I have a BS in Social Science and a MA in History from Louisiana Tech University. I am a Saints fan and a "die hard" LSU fan. If LSU loses I don't function well. If the Saints lose, well I have gotten use to it. I love to teach history and work at it very hard. Give me 100% and I'll double your effort. I like to camp (well in my 26 foot travel trailer), boat, travel and spend time with my family. The best thing about having a teacher as old as I am teach you history is that I have been around for a major portion of it ( anything from Kennedy on). I teach Louisiana History and Multi-Cultural Studies. My teaching style is quite simple. We will go over a concept until EVERY student gets it. We work as a team. And we will be a good one. I have an open door policy. If a student needs extra help, I'm there. If a parent needs to speak with me, we will make it happen. My class will be your favorite. Not because it will be easy or that I'm will not be demanding. I just frankly believe that you learn better when it is fun. I love Louisiana and will do my best to have you feel the same.
