During the weeks of testing, the grade levels not testing will attend all classes on our regular bell schedule.  They may have alternate classrooms to meet in due to testing on A-Wing.  We will have a locker clean out Thursday, April 5th.  After that date no lockers will be used until after testing.  Students will be allowed to bring backpacks to class.  Please help your child clean out and organize his/her backpack.  Cell phones will be taken up during the testing time, please leave all Apple Watches at home the week your child's grade is testing.

Please see the attached letter from Sheriff Steve Prator about seat belt safety.

CMM Library is teaming up with Barnes and Noble Bookstore to offer a convenient, stress-free way for parents and students to purchase the required summer reading book titles. All students are expected to read these books before the start of the new school year. Please see the attached order forms  for each grade level. If you purchase through the school, tax does not have to be added. Orders will be taken on a pre-paid basis from Wednesday, April 4th - Thursday, April 19th. Books will be delivered before the end of school.  Students may place their orders either through their English teacher or through the library.  Checks should be made payable to Caddo Middle Magnet.

Plans are underway for our 6th grade Renaissance Faire at Caddo Middle Magnet on Friday, May 11th, 2018 from 12:45-2:45.  We have planned an afternoon filled with activities, games, and demonstrations to create a fun-filled event for all 6th graders.  The attached document will give you more information.  Please view the link to see how you can help make this event successful!

We have two foreign associate teachers (CODOFIL) on our campus.  This is a program through the Louisiana Department of Education that enables us to offer more foreign language classes.  Each year in July these teachers come to the United States.  This July Caddo Parish has 7 or 8 new teachers coming.  The parish is looking for host families for these teachers.  Being a host means having a teacher from Spain, Mexico, Belgium, or France stay about a week with you. During this time they would need to find an apartment, car, bank account, etc. The main concern is a place for them to stay. Other teachers can help drive them around to get what they need.  If you are interested in becoming a host family, please call the office and ask for Mrs. DeBusk.

Instructional time is very important to us at CMM. To ensure that classes are not interrupted, we do not call students to pick up lunches, notebooks, gym uniforms, supplies, projects, etc. The students must check between classes to see if a parent has dropped something off.  We have made all of our students aware of this policy, and it is printed in our handbook at the front of the student planner.   If you have any questions about this policy, please contact me--not our secretaries.  : )
