Teacher Appreciation Week March 19-23
Help us thank our amazing teachers! We need Teacher Appreciation monetary donations. It's a team effort to shower our teachers, so no individual gifts will be needed. Funds donated to the PTSA will be used all week to show our teachers how much they mean to us! Please send donations to the office or you can use payforit.net to make a donation.
Donations are due February 16th.
If you would like to donate a door prize for our daily drawing, please send to the office marked Teacher Appreciation.

National Junior Honor Society
It is time for 7th and 8th grade students to think about joining the CMM National Junior Honor Society. Requirements can be found on page 10 of the CMM Planner. You will find a link for the application on the CMM website - middlemagnet.com. If your student meets the GPA requirements for the first two nine weeks, you may print and fill out an application. Students may also pick up an application in the front office. Please read the application carefully, fill it out, and turn it in by the deadline to the correct teacher. The deadline is firm and final.
Once third nine weeks grades are reported and the teacher recommendations are turned in, the NJHS Faculty Committee will meet and offer membership to those students who meet all of the minimum requirements.

Yearbook statements will be passed out to students Monday, February 12th in 7th hour. If there is a colored sheet attached to the yearbook order it means they need to check it and make sure the personalization they ordered is correct. The directions are written on the sheet, but please let them know that I need those back no later than February 23rd. If they don't get it back to me by then, it may be printed with incorrect information. If there is a green sheet attached to the statement that means they purchased more than one book. If they want a refund for one of the books, they need to see me ASAP in room A-102. If they do not come see me before the 23rd, they will receive both books with no refund.  My reports were printed February 5th. If they ordered a book after that date they will not receive a statement. Please email me at smmccrary@caddoschools.org with any questions. Thanks! -Stephane McCrary

The last day to purchase a yearbook will be February 28, 2018! The price is $55.00. You can purchase at school with order forms in office and A-102 or online at jostens.com

2018-2019 CMM Cheer Tryouts:
There will be a MANDATORY parent meeting for anyone interested in trying out on Monday, February 12 at 5:30PM in the PAC.  A parent must attend this meeting for a student to be eligible to tryout.  Please join the Cheer Tryout Google Classroom page for more information.  The GC code is irh52q.  Contact Mindy Guthrie at mguthrie@caddoschools.org
for any specific questions.

We have set up an 8th Grade Google Classroom page.  This page will have very important information for the remainder of the school year.  The code is v88ruz.  Please make sure your 8th grader joins this page and checks it often.  This not a discussion page--the only posts on this page will come from the page administrators.

Instructional time is very important to us at CMM. To ensure that classes are not interrupted, we do not call students to pick up lunches, notebooks, gym uniforms, supplies, projects, etc. The students must check between classes to see if a parent has dropped something off.  We have made all of our students aware of this policy, and it is printed in our handbook at the front of the student planner.   If you have any questions about this policy, please contact me--not our secretaries.  : )
